While living in Cincinnati she was one of the first women to play the piano on the radio. ![]() She attended Littleford Business School where she studied shorthand, typing and bookkeeping. She was the secretary of Batesville Elementary School for over 33 years. Collier, born June 30, 1922, in Batesville, Ind., to the late Lorena Anna Neufarth and Walter Lemuel Bigney, graduated high school at the age of 16. Dickins Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Graveside services with family and friends were held Tuesday at Magnolia Cemetery. Widowed in 1974 by Virgal “Pete” Twilley of Arkabutla, she leaves a daughter, Rachel Taylor (Milton) of Coldwater, three sons, Richard Twilley (Sheila) of Vina, Ala., Paul Twilley of Brandon, Joe Twilley (Phyllis) of Senatobia, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Survivors include: two stepsons, Robert and Charles Ball of Lexington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Stanley Ball of Lexington, Ky.
